PRPA Calendar for 2004

Among railroad calendars for 2004, we are confident this one will rank among the best out there. The combination of great Montana scenery, sunny but crisp weather, and the classic beauty of the SP&S 700 provided many opportunities for photographers to capture. The fact that the 700 is an oil-burning version of the Northern Pacific A-3 locomotives that ran over the same track adds a dimension of interest for railroad buffs.

Each of the twelve "beauty shots" were taken on the Montana trip, while the crew and inset shots are drawn from a wider pool of photos that include work on the locomotive in the roundhouse.

This calendar was made possible by the generosity of the photographers who donated their work for this purpose and we thank them collectively here. The back page of the calendar expresses our thanks to them individually.

A special thanks to PRPA Vice-President Dale Birkholz who spent uncounted hours bringing the calendar to be the artistic success that it is. Your purchase of a calendar will help make it a financial success as well.
