KOIN "Tracks in Time" VHS

KOIN-TV aired "Tracks in Time", a one-hour program about Portland's steam locomotives with narrator Ray Summers and featuring the photography of Dale Birkholz. The exceptionally well-done program features the SP 4449 and SP&S 700 in operation, the SP&S 700's last boiler retubing, interviews with several SP employees who worked at Brooklyn yard in the steam era, and footage of steam era movements in Brooklyn yard. Sorry, KOIN has not made a DVD version available. Aired 9/4/2000, 45 min.
